Remodeling and Home Design

"We needed to renovate two bathrooms that were quite dated, and change the pitch of our flat roof because of leaks that had been developing. We contacted four different companies for bids on this project. BAUMSON BUILDERS was not only the most professional in all our dealings but they provided us with the most detailed and complete bid."

"Their prices are always competitive and they are very honest and easy to do business with. Their quality of workmanship is excellent. When they worked in my home and condos, they never leave a mess and clean up very well. They always make their commitments."

"Many of my clients have said to me, after engaging other builders, 'We wish that we would have used Baumson Builders.' His work is first rate, his people are respectful of the home owner and his prices are competitive."

Baumson Builders started in 1979 with a focus on bathroom and kitchen remodeling. Though this business was very successful, the need increased for families to expand all parts of their homes. As customer’s needs changed, so did the company’s business. Soon after, Baumson Builders widened its services to include building new additions and custom homes.

In this fast paced world, people change, county building codes change, and government laws change. To keep up with the demands, Tom and Kim became Certified Aging In Place Specialists (CAPS). Baumson Builders is proud to offer an expansion of our services to include the modification of homes that will enhance the independent lifestyle of maturing individuals.

What is Aging in Place?

Born between 1946 and 1965, the first Baby Boomers turned age 65 in 2011. Today, the Baby Boom generation numbers 77 million and accounts for 28 percent of the U.S. population. According to an AARP study, most of the respondents reported that they would prefer to stay in their homes because of the network of neighbors, family and friends, and the familiarity of their homes.

As people get older their needs change. As an Aging in Place service provider, Baumson Builders can offer a universal home design to people of varying ages and abilities. Such homes enhance the quality of life and enable occupants to enjoy the full use of their home, to maintain personal independence, and to welcome guests of different ages and abilities.

These benefits enable residents to remain in their communities and out of more expensive and sometimes less desirable settings such as nursing homes.

It may seem like only yesterday that you bought your home, and now you realize that it has been a significant number of years. The windows that looked and worked fine initially are beginning to show their age. Seals are broken that are permitting unwanted heating and cooling air exchange. Moisture penetrating multi-pane units has changed the quality of the view.

Baumson Builders is a Certified Pella Replacement Representative. The replacement process allows for keeping more of the good parts of the window, and replacing the more frequently damaged or aging parts, thus reducing the over-all replacement cost.

If your windows are beginning to show signs of aging, contact Baumson Builders for a window replacement survey. Consider heating and cooling savings as well as an increase to your home's value. If you are planning on selling, this could be a significant factor at the inspection. Be proactive.
